Inner City & Váci Street
The old heart of Pest, from Vörösmarty Square and Gerbeaud along Váci Street to the Great Market Hall, with the Danube promenade alongside.
About Inner City & Váci Street
The Inner City, Belváros, is the oldest part of Pest. Pedestrian Váci Street runs from Vörösmarty Square, home of Gerbeaud and the Christmas market, to the Great Market Hall, and the Danube promenade has views of the Castle across the river.
Behind the main streets are quieter squares, university buildings, historic coffee houses and some of the city’s best restaurants.
