About Gerbeaud

Gerbeaud has been serving cakes and coffee since 1858, and it took its name from the Swiss confectioner Émile Gerbeaud, who made it famous. The salons are grand, with chandeliers and wood panelling, and the terrace on Vörösmarty Square is one of the best places to watch the city go by. Try a Gerbeaud slice or a Dobos torte.

Why it's on our list
