About Buda Castle
The royal palace has crowned Castle Hill since the Middle Ages, rebuilt again and again after sieges and wars. Today its great Baroque wings hold the Hungarian National Gallery and the Budapest History Museum, and its terraces have some of the finest views in the city. Ride the funicular up from the Chain Bridge, or walk up through the gardens.
