About Gödöllő Royal Palace
The Royal Palace of Gödöllő, east of Budapest, was given to Franz Joseph and Elisabeth after their coronation, and it became the favourite home of the queen, known as Sisi. Its rooms and gardens are open to visitors, and the HÉV runs there from Budapest.
